As a graduate surveyor, you’ll join us on a journey to become a professionally qualified surveyor with membership of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

You will be allocated a dedicated supervisor and counsellor to assist you during your training as well as tailored support from our APC training provider.

What you will be doing

An opportunity has arisen to join our busy Valuation Consultancy department in Liverpool.  This is a varied role for a keen graduate surveyor to work as assistant to the Director in charge of the department.  The team provides commercial valuation advice to a wide range of corporate and public sector clients including advising banks and other lending institutions. The role will include involvement in some of the region’s most interesting and high profile property instructions. 

Main duties, responsibilities and accountabilities

The role will involve undertaking valuation instructions and providing general support to the Director and wider valuation team.  This will include attending site inspections, undertaking measured surveys of buildings, carrying out market research and related due diligence as well as preparing valuation reports.  The role will also include attending client meetings and involvement with general office related activities. Training and support will be provided on the use of systems and specific valuation related software.

Who are we looking for?

  • A graduate with the ambition to complete the APC and become chartered 
  • Strong IT literacy including competence in using Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Personable and presentable;
  • Ambition combined with an ability to learn and develop a successful career within a changing economic environment;
  • Good commercial awareness.
